Simulations, controller design with on-the-fly parameter tuning und Rapid-Protoyping applications. HILDA is also a programmable datalogger for analog and digital inputs/outputs and may be used as a Busmonitor für CAN-Bus, Profibus and Interbus-S in combination with modular extension cards as part of the system.

HILDA consists of a user-friendly frontend für PC-Systems (Windows 2000, XP, Vista 32bit + 64bit) as well as a real time Hardware based on the MPC5200(HILDA-Box) upgradeable to suit the needs of our customers.

The following functionalities are available:

  • User-friendly block library for rapid-prototyping and design of block diagrams and control algorithms (includes various signal sources, digital scopes, different controllers and identification modules, Spectrum-Analyzer, nonlinear transfer functions, freely programmable blocks...)
  • Petrinet based control tool for designing process flows. The flow information is transformed into a special block format and integrated into the block diagram
  • Features for logging large amounts of data, plots and displaying curves via digital oscilloscopes
  • Specification of startup behaviour using a graphical user interface

The HILDA-Box once configured may be used as a standalone device or in combination with a PC based frontend using TCP/IP communication.

HILDA is the optimal device for:

  • Datalogging in Production plants and in the Automobile industry for applications requiring a reliable storage of large amounts of data
  • Verification of sequential logic systems and combinatorial circuits
  • As a replacement for industrial or compact controllers for instrumentation and control applications as well as monitoring processes in plants without a regular computer process control system
  • Process control applications in combination with complex feedback control requirements which cannot be realised using conventional PLCs
  • The development of controllers or control algorithms in software, simulating and testing system behaviour in a Hardware-in-the-Loop setup (ECU tests in the automobile industry)
  • Applications in the aerospace industry – the HILDA-Box is extremely robust
  • Implementing complex control algorithms in combination with various PLCs (Siemens Step-5/7, Allen-Bradley…)
